0713 GMT - Monte dei Paschi is expected to reappoint Luigi Lovaglio as CEO and to reiterate its strategy through 2030, Keefe, Bruyette & Woods says in a research note. Shareholders of the Italian bank voted to keep Lovaglio on at the group's AGM after the departing board pushed him out. "We think the valuation remains attractive, despite some overhang risk, and with the clouds over the strategy dissipating," the analysts write. The multiyear strategy includes the delisting of Mediobanca and shareholder payouts. The lender will have a fragmented board but the majority of directors will have come from election lists that included Lovaglio, which should give them control, they add. (elena.vardon@wsj.com)
