T-Mobile US stock has been struggling -- but that has created an opportunity for savvy investors to snap up the wireless carrier's beaten-down shares, according to KeyBanc.

Analyst Brandon Nispel upgraded T-Mobile to Overweight from Sector Weight on Sunday, setting a $260 price target that implies the stock can rise 33% from its level as of Friday's close.

Nispel noted that shares trade at an attractive valuation and said he expects earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization growth to reaccelerate as the company's investments in artificial intelligence take hold.

The stock, down 25% over the past year, climbed 0.6% ahead of Monday's opening bell. Futures tracking the S&P 500 were 0.6% lower as investors fretted about the U.S. military's planned blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.
