Mako Mining (MAKO) said Wednesday it sold 13,721 ounces of gold for total revenue of $68.6 million in the first quarter.
The company sold 10,398 ounces from its San Albino mine in northern Nicaragua at an average price of $4,901 per ounce and 3,323 ounces from the Moss mine in Arizona at $4,912 per ounce, it said. The company also sold 16,023 ounces of silver from the Moss mine.
During the quarter, Mako mined 50,233 tonnes at San Albino and about 1.6 million tonnes at the Moss Mine.
At quarter-end, the company said its stockpile totaled 124,350 tonnes at an average grade of 2.65 grams per tonne, containing an estimated 10,558 ounces of gold.
Mako said it is currently debt free with a cash position of $96.1 million. It also said in late March it has submitted the environmental and social impact assessment for the Eagle Mountain gold project with the Guyana Environmental Protection Agency.
