Stocks to Watch: Netflix, Alstom, Alcoa -- WSJ

Netflix $(NFLX)$: Shares slid more than 9% premarket after the streamer reported disappointing guidance and said chairman and co-founder Reed Hastings will step down from the board after his term expires in June.

Alstom (FR:ALO): Shares of the French train maker plunged nearly 30% after it issued a profit warning and withdrew its medium-term financial guidance.

Alcoa $(AA)$: The aluminum producer posted lower sales in the first quarter, as the conflict in Iran forced the company to reroute millions of tons of refining capacity from the Middle East. Shares fell more than 2% premarket.

QVC Group $(QVCGA)$: The TV and video retailer commenced a voluntary Chapter 11 bankruptcy as part of a restructuring support agreement that it entered into with holders who represent a significant majority of its outstanding funded debt. Shares rebounded 6% premarket, after tumbling nearly 70% Thursday.

Orange (FR:ORA): A French consortium including Bouygues Telecom, Orange and Free-iliad Group said they have renewed talks with Altice Group for the acquisition of most of its French telecommunications operations, and have put forward an improved offer valuing the assets at about $24 billion. Altice is owned by French-Israeli billionaire Patrick Drahi. Shares of Orange slid more than 2%.
