Lee Enterprises (LEE) has appointed Nathan Bekke as chief executive officer, a position he had held on an interim basis, the advertising platform firm said Friday.

Additionally, interim chief financial officer Josh Rinehults has been named chief financial officer, according to a statement.

Bekke first joined the company in 1988 and has served in various leadership roles since, including chief operating officer.

Shares fell nearly 2% in after-hours trading.
