Bannerman Energy (ASX:BMN) said the execution of the early construction works program at the Etango uranium project in Namibia is planned to continue through the first half, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.

The bulk earthworks contract now stands at around 67% complete, the company said. Civil and mechanical design for the dry plant is around 93% complete. Design work on the wet plant is focusing on design optimization test work.

The company said the completion for its binding investment subscription and joint venture documentation with CNNC Overseas, a unit of China National Uranium, for the funding, development, and operation of its Etango project is targeted for mid-2026. A final investment decision on the project is expected to be taken shortly thereafter.

Bannerman Energy's shares fell 1% in recent trading on Wednesday.
