F5 Raises FY Outlook After Rise in 2Q Profit, Revenue

F5 raised its full-year earnings guidance after posting higher revenue and profit in its fiscal second quarter amid growing cybersecurity threats.

The multicloud software and cybersecurity company on Tuesday reported a second-quarter profit of $148 million, or 2.58 a share, compared with $146 million, or 2.48 a share, a year earlier. Its new outlook for fiscal year 2026 topped Wall Street estimates.

Adjusted per-share earnings were $3.90. Analysts were expecting adjusted earnings of $3.46 a share.

Revenue rose 11% to $812 million. Analysts were expecting $783.8 million. Revenue was boosted by a 22% growth in product revenue, said Chief Executive François Locoh-Donou. Demand for the company's products reflects an expanding cybersecurity threats and the evolution of artificial intelligence models, Locoh-Donou said.

The company raised its outlook for fiscal year 2026. It expects adjusted earnings per share of $16.25 to $16.55, above the forecast by analysts of $15.96 a share.

The company expects fiscal third-quarter revenue of $820 million to $840 million and adjusted earnings per share of $3.91 to $4.03. Wall Street is expecting revenue of $818.9 million and adjusted earnings per share of $3.87.
