0712 GMT - NatWest's upgraded income guidance will be the focus of the U.K. bank's results, Jefferies says in a research note. The group expects total income excluding notable items to be at the higher end of its guided range as it now assumes no interest-rate cuts compared with two before. Consensus are already above the higher end of the range, analysts write. "The standout here [was] the balance sheet. Loans were up nearly 2% in the quarter, with deposits 0.7% higher despite what is usually a weaker three-months around tax season," they add. Shares open 3.5% lower. (elena.vardon@wsj.com)
