Stocks to Watch: Palantir, HSBC, Intel, AMD -- WSJ

Palantir Technologies (PLTR): The data-analytics company's stock slid more than 5% even though it posted record quarterly revenue and profit late yesterday.

HSBC (UK:HSBA): The bank's profits took a hit from a private-credit alleged fraud and missed analysts' estimates. London-listed shares of HSBC slid.

Paypal $(PYPL)$: The payments company said it will speed up its adoption of artificial intelligence and cut costs as it reported lower profits; shares sank 10%.

Intel $(INTC)$, Samsung Electronics (KR:005930): Shares in Intel and Samsung soared after Bloomberg reported that Apple is exploring using the two companies to build the main chips for its devices in the U.S.

Pinterest (PINS): Shares of the image-sharing company rallied after it posted double-digit sales growth and bullish second-quarter guidance.

Anheuser-Busch InBev (BE:ABI, BUD): The Budweiser maker booked its first sales-volumes growth in three years. Its U.S.-listed shares jumped 8%.

Advanced Micro Devices $(AMD)$: The chip maker is set to report earnings after the closing bell. Other companies reporting today include Electronic Arts $(EA)$ and Live Nation Entertainment (LYV).
