National Storage REIT's (ASX:NSR) share scheme of arrangement and trust scheme, under which a Brookfield Funds and GIC-led consortium would acquire all of the stapled securities in National Storage, was implemented on Friday, according to a same-day Australian bourse filing.

Iridium SP BidCo now holds all of the shares on issue in National Storage Holdings, while ITG Australia TS Sub as trustee for Iridium SP Bid Trust now holds all of the units on issue in National Storage Property Trust.

The scheme consideration of AU$2.80 cash per National Storage security held as of April 29 was paid to scheme security holders.

National Storage plans to apply for its removal from the official list of the ASX with effect shortly after the implementation of the schemes.
