Quantum Computing Faces Fewer Immediate Catalysts Compared With Peers, Wedbush Says

Quantum Computing (QUBT) faces fewer immediate catalysts for growth relative to its peers, Wedbush analysts said in a Monday note.

The company is scheduled to report its Q1 financial results later today.

Analysts said that the company's commentary on the acquisition of Luminar Semiconductor and NuCrypt, the commercial deployment of Dirac-3 in the Quantum Corridor network, and the launch of NeuraWave will set the tone for the quarter.

Wedbush said that while there is a long-term, addressable market for quantum integrated photonics solutions and the company has pursued this technology early, it has yet to emerge as the clear leader in this modality.

Analysts said that factors that could impact their view on the company include an inflection in revenue, a technological breakthrough, or a significant acquisition.

Wedbush has a neutral rating on the stock and a $12 price target.
