1124 GMT - Intesa Sanpaolo's good first-quarter results validate the Italian bank's ability to deliver on its midterm plan, Oddo BHF's Steven Gould and Benoit Valleaux say in a note. This marked the first opportunity to track the lender's progress toward the midterm ambitions for the 2026-2029 period it set out in February, and it reassured, the analysts say. "We are still convinced by the group's win/win profile in the context of interest rates thanks to the diversification of its business model on the top line," they add. Oddo raises its target price on Intesa's stock to 7.10 euros from 7.00 euros. Shares rise 0.5% to 5.84 euros. (adria.calatayud@wsj.com)
