Macronix International (TPE:2337) will purchase machinery equipment worth about NT$3.51 billion from Lam Research International, according to a Friday Taiwan Exchange filing.

Shares gained over 4% in Monday's afternoon trade.

The machinery will be used for production purposes, it said.
