EMVision Medical Devices (ASX:EMV) is set to expand its emu brain scanner pivotal validation trial, adding an acute ischemia detection feature to the study following progress in its parallel continuous innovation study, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.

Trial recruitment has surpassed 125 total patients, as of early May, across eight active US and Australian hospitals, the filing said.
