Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A) reduced its stake in Chevron to 84.4 million shares, or 4.2% of the oil company, according to a filing with the SEC on Friday.
The company sold about $8 billion worth of shares even as the stock prices hit a record in March after attacks involving Iran.
The disclosure follows Berkshire's sale of about one-third of its Chevron holdings during the first quarter as oil prices surged amid tensions in the Middle East.
