Trilogy Metals's copper project in Alaska has been accepted into an accelerated permitting program, giving the development a clearer and more coordinated path through U.S. environmental regulations.

The junior mining developer said Friday that its joint venture with South32 has been accepted as a Covered Project under FAST-41, the federal permitting streamlining program created under the Fixing America's Surface Transportation Act.

Trilogy Metals is a junior mining developer focused on advancing large copper-rich deposits in Alaska's Ambler Mining District, a process that has taken years of regulatory and political navigation.

The new permitting program positions the Arctic Project as a priority domestic critical mineral development under President Trump's resource policy agenda, the company said.

The acceptance follows an April application for a Clean Water Act Section 404 permit with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, a filing that formally triggered federal permitting for the Arctic Project.
