Global Payments (GPN) said Wednesday it launched a new handheld point-of-sale device with artificial intelligence features for restaurant environments.

The payment technology company said the device, dubbed Genius, includes AI-backed voice-based ordering technology that allows workers to speak with customers as the system creates orders in the background.
