Doximity posted lower profit in its fiscal fourth quarter amid higher operating costs.

The digital platform for U.S. healthcare professionals on Wednesday reported a profit of $19.1 million, or 10 cents a share, compared with $62.5 million, or 31 cents a share, a year earlier.

Adjusted earnings came in at 26 cents a share. Analysts polled by FactSet expected 28 cents a share.

Revenue rose 5% to $145.4 million. Analysts expected revenue of $144 million. Total operating expenses rose to $101.1 million from $75.1 million.

For fiscal year 2027, the company expects revenue between $664 million and $676 million. Analysts expect $697.4 million. For the fiscal first quarter, the company expects revenue between $151 million and $152 million. Analysts expect $153.8 million.

More than 800,000 active prescribers used the company's tools in the fourth quarter, said Chief Executive Jeff Tangney. Nearly half of those providers used the company's clinical artificial intelligence tools, Tangney said. The company on Wednesday said it is partnering with Aledade, a physician-led care company. Under the agreement, Aledade will utilize Doximity's Clinial AI Suite, including its notetaking tool and clinical AI assistant.
