Miami International Expands OCC Partnership for MIAX Futures Clearing

Miami International (MIAX) said Wednesday its MIAX Futures exchange entered a clearing and settlement agreement with Options Clearing to support futures products listed on the exchange.

The agreement allows MIAX Futures participants that are OCC members to potentially achieve capital efficiencies by cross-margining MIAX Futures products against complementary products listed on MIAX and other securities and futures exchanges.

The company said additional Bloomberg-linked futures products are scheduled to launch through early June, while the exchange will continue clearing its Minneapolis Hard Red Spring Wheat and other agricultural contracts.
