WCT's (KLSE:WCT) Taiwan unit secured a construction contract worth about NT$1.22 billion to undertake works for a highway project in Taiwan, according to a Monday Malaysian bourse filing.
Shares gained 2% in Tuesday's midday trade.
The contract was awarded by WU En De Construction for the National Highway No. 1 - Addition of Gangshan Second Interchange Project (Lot I108R), covering works between Gaoke Interchange and Gangshan Interchange.
The scope of works includes road construction, bridge structural works, and drainage works.
The deal works are expected to be completed within 42 months from the commencement date of Aug. 1, it said.
