Fidelity National Information Services (FIS) has been selected by BankSouth as its core banking platform for retail and business banking, the company said Wednesday.

Under the deal, the company will modernize the bank's operations and expand artificial intelligence capabilities, it said.

The platform will provide API-based integrations, payments and card services, fraud protection, and standardized data feeds, Fidelity National said.

Financial terms were not disclosed.
