Resolution Minerals (ASX:RML) found potential gold and tungsten mineralization in the first three holes of the current drill program at the Golden Gate South prospect within its Horse Heaven project in Idaho, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

Drilling completed a total of 763 meters to date, with the three holes showing "highly encouraging" sulfide mineralization linked to intense alteration of granite, together with interpreted large-scale shearing, brecciation, and areas of intense veining, the filing said.

A second drill rig is expected to start drilling next week to fast-track the program, per the filing.

Shares rose 2% in morning trade on Thursday.
