Alaska Air's (ALK) Alaska Airlines launched daily nonstop flights between Seattle and London Heathrow, marking an important milestone in its international expansion strategy and broader push into Europe, the carrier said Thursday.

The London route follows recent and upcoming launches to Rome and Reykjavik, Iceland, as it expands long-haul flying from its Seattle hub, the company said.

The airline also outlined plans for a new Seattle Tacoma International Airport lounge opening in late 2027, spanning more than 41,000 square feet and serving both domestic and international premium travelers, it added.
