News (NWS) faces a fresh lawsuit from President Donald Trump over a Wall Street Journal article about his ties to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, the news outlet reported Thursday.

A judge dismissed an earlier version of the case, which centers on a birthday letter Trump allegedly wrote to the late Epstein, after finding it did not sufficiently allege "actual malice", WSJ said.

The new complaint, which seeks billions of dollars in damages, alleges the defendants acted with malice in several aspects, the report said.
