0739 ET - Tilman Fertitta's agreement to acquire Caesars Entertainment in a $17.6 billion deal, including debt, ends months of speculation about a potential acquisition. WSJ reported in March that Fertitta was in talks to buy the company. He will pay shareholders $31 a share in cash and assume around $11.9 billion of Caesars debt as part of the transaction, which also includes a "go-shop" period through July 11 for Caesars to consider alternative proposals.
