Ecarx, TPK Team Up to Co-Develop Lidar Platform

Ecarx (ECX) and TPK have teamed up to jointly develop ORCA LiDAR platform, a sensor system designed to meet global regulatory and functional safety standards, the companies said Friday.

Mass production is expected to begin in 2028 at TPK's Thailand facility, the companies said.

Ecarx will lead system integration, sensor fusion, and commercialization, while TPK will contribute optical design and manufacturing capabilities, they added.

Shares of Ecarx were 2.5% higher in premarket activity.
