Bank of America (BAC) is hiring Anshul Gupta from Avendus Capital to lead its investment banking operations in India, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing unnamed people familiar with the matter.

Gupta, currently a managing director at Avendus, is expected to join Bank of America after completing regulatory and contractual requirements, according to the report. He spent about three years at Avendus and previously worked at Citigroup (C), according to his LinkedIn profile.

Bank of America and Avendus did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
