Bitcoin and chip stocks have dramatically diverged over the past six months. Bitcoin traded at around $71,000 Monday, down more than 40% since its peak above $126,000 in early October. Meanwhile, the PHLX Semiconductor Index, stuffed with high-fliers like Nvidia, Intel and Micron, just posted its strongest performance through the first 100 trading days of any year on record.
