GameStop (GME) reported late Tuesday Q1 adjusted earnings of $0.30 per diluted share, up from $0.17 a year earlier.
One analyst expected $0.16 in a FactSet poll.
Revenue for the 13 weeks ended May 2 was $835.3 million, up from $732.4 million a year ago.
GameStop also said its board approved a $2 billion share repurchase authorization through June 2, 2029, replacing its prior buyback program.
