Kura Oncology (KURA) plans to conduct a platform study to evaluate darlifarnib across multiple targeted therapy combinations and disease settings after new clinical data demonstrated its anti-tumor potential, the company said Wednesday.
Preliminary data from the ongoing phase 1a study of darlifarnib, in combination with adagrasib, demonstrated confirmed objective response rates of 67% in pancreatic cancer, 50% in non-small cell lung cancer, and 29% in KRAS inhibitor-naive colorectal cancer patients, Kura Oncology said.
Data on the study's 26 response-evaluable patients also showed tumor shrinkage in 77% of patients and in 94% of KRAS inhibitor-naive patients, the company added.
As part of the planned platform study, Kura Oncology will evaluate darlifarnib plus daraxonrasib in pancreatic cancer under a phase 1a study in early 2027, according to the statement.
