Avista (AVA) entered into a non-binding memorandum of understanding with a developer in its Washington service territory seeking a system connection and energy supply for future operations, the company said in a regulatory filing late Tuesday.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The customer seeks an initial demand of 125 megawatts beginning in 2029 with a possible expansion to 500 megawatts by 2032, the company said.
Final terms and conditions will be negotiated as part of a services agreement, which will require approval from the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission, the company said.
