Arcus to Supply Experimental Kidney Cancer Drug for Myers Squibb Trial

Arcus Biosciences has agreed to supply its investigational cancer-targeting drug to be evaluated in a Bristol Myers Squibb-sponsored trial in advanced kidney cancer.

The drug, casdatifan, will be added to two new arms of BMS's ROSETTA RCC-208 phase 1/2 study, which is testing pumitamig, an experimental two-in-one developed by BMS and BioNTech, both alone and in combination with other therapies to treat advanced renal cell carcinoma.

Each company keeps full rights to its own drug, and the collaboration is nonexclusive.

Arcus said that the collaboration is aimed at developing a new treatment approach that can keep kidney tumors under control for longer in a disease with few effective options.
