Parsons (PSN) said Monday that it was awarded a $99 million task order by the US Air Force Research Laboratory to support the development of command and control, space and intelligence, and surveillance and reconnaissance software systems.

The single-award contract, issued under the ALLIANT 2 program, has a performance period of five years and two months and follows Parsons' existing GARDEM contract, it said.

Under the award, Parsons said it will provide research, engineering, prototyping, integration, testing, and sustainment services for C2-SpISR software baselines. The work includes support for technologies such as C2Core Air, C2Core NetOps, National Tactical Data Manager, and Integrated Solutions to Situational Awareness, it added.

The company said the capabilities help support next-generation software platforms used by the US Air Force, intelligence agencies, and other federal customers.
