KULR Technology Group named Michael Kimel as its finance chief.

Kimel is an executive economist with more than 30 years of experience improving profitability, optimizing cost structures and leading data-driven financial strategy, the energy-systems platform company said Tuesday.

He previously founded Pricimetrics, a consulting firm focused on profit maximization, and prior to that served as OmniSource United's senior vice president of pricing and analytics.

With his appointment to CFO, Kimel will step down from KULR Technology's board, where most recently served as chair of the audit committee.

KULR Technology also appointed Steven Perez as a new independent board member.

Perez, who most recently served in multiple director-level enterprise sales roles at Twilio, has more than 25 years of sales, marketing, product marketing and go-to-market leadership experience in a variety of technology companies, KULR Technology said.
