SailPoint 1Q Loss Narrows as Subscription Growth Lifts Revenue

SailPoint expects slightly higher fiscal 2027 revenue than previously projected after first-quarter subscription growth helped lift total revenue and a narrow its loss.

The cybersecurity company now expects full-year revenue to rise to between $1.27 billion to $1.28 billion, up from a previous expectation of $1.26 billion to $1.27 billion. Analysts on FactSet expect $1.27 billion.

The full-year revenue guidance represents a growth of about 18% to 19%.

Adjusted earnings per share expectations remained unchanged at between 30 cents and 34 cents.

In the three months ended April 30, SailPoint narrowed its loss to $74.7 million, or 13 cents a share, from a loss of $187.3 million, or 42 cents a share, in the same quarter a year ago.

Adjusted earnings were 5 cents a share. According to FactSet, analysts were expecting 4 cents a share.

Total revenue in the quarter rose $280.1 million from $230.5 million, topping expectations for $275.8 million. The company benefited from a rise in subscription revenue to $265.8 million from $215.3 million.

For the second quarter, the company expects revenue growth to be between 17% to 18%, reaching $308 million to $312 million, in-line with analyst forecasts of $309.7 million.
