Ascendis Pharma's (ASND) Yorvipath hypoparathyroidism therapy maintains a superior clinical profile compared with competing programs, Wedbush analysts said in a Monday note.

The company's 3.5-year data from the phase-3 PaTHway study and the 5-year data from the phase-2 PaTH Forward study of Yorvipath in hypoparathyroidism provide strong evidence for sustained clinical benefit from long-term treatment, analysts said.

Wedbush said that both studies showed high retention rates, durable efficacy, and continued improvement in renal function with longer treatment.

Quality of life improvement, which is now required by the FDA for approvals, is the strongest evidence for Yorvipath's efficacy, a key opinion leader said, according to analysts.

Wedbush has an outperform rating and a $273 price target on the stock.
