Legend Biotech's (LEGN) experimental in vivo CD19/CD20 dual-targeting CAR-T candidate, LB2501, showed early clinical proof-of-concept in an ongoing phase 1 trial involving patients with relapsed or refractory B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma, the company said Sunday.

At the higher dose, a single infusion of LB2501 produced a 100% objective response rate and an 83.3% complete response rate in six patients, while across both dose levels the objective and complete response rates were 50% and 41.7%, respectively, the company said.

LB2501 showed dose-dependent CAR-T expansion and a favorable safety profile, with no dose-limiting toxicities, serious adverse events, neurotoxicity, or deaths, Legend Biotech added.

Data presented at the European Hematology Association 2026 Congress supported the feasibility of generating CAR-T cells directly in patients and reinforced Legend's efforts to expand its next-generation cell therapy portfolio beyond CARVYKTI.
