Leggett & Platt (LEG) brand Leggett Dynamics said Tuesday that it has launched its Smart Brushless Motor, a next-generation motion system designed to simplify vehicle seating and motion-control integration.

Leggett said the system can operate with or without a seat-level ECU, enabling direct communication with vehicle-level electronics and supporting centralized and zonal vehicle architectures.

Leggett said the design reduces wiring, weight, and complexity while improving noise, durability and electromagnetic performance and delivers smoother, quieter seat adjustment for occupants.
