BWX Technologies (BWXT) granted Applied Atomics exclusive rights to deploy BWX's mPower small modular reactor technology for commercial land-based nuclear projects in the US, Canada and other markets, Applied Atomics said Wednesday.

BWX will retain ownership of the mPower technology and exclusive manufacturing rights, while receiving royalties on components produced by Applied Atomics or other manufacturers, Applied Atomics said.

Financial details of the licensing agreement were not disclosed.
