Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) and blockchain technology company OKX said Monday that they have formed a joint venture focused on building next-generation infrastructure for tokenized and digitally native financial products.
The 50-50 joint venture will operate as a US registered broker dealer and futures commission merchant, allowing OKX's customers to access ICE futures and NYSE tokenized equities markets, the companies said.
The joint venture will also explore opportunities for regulatory-compliant blockchain-enabled markets, the companies added.
Financial terms of the joint venture were not disclosed.
