Precision Tsugami Likely to Benefit From AI, Robots Related Orders -- Market Talk

0339 GMT - Precision Tsugami (China) is likely to benefit from order inflows related to artificial intelligence and robots, Daiwa Capital Markets analysts say in a report. Liquid-cooling of AI servers and humanoid robots are creating new demand for precision-machined components such as those made by the China-based subsidiary of Japan's Tsugami, the analysts say. Precision Tsugami's revenue from AI server liquid-cooling is expected to grow 49% CAGR over FY 2026-2029, they estimate. Humanoid robots are another long-term equipment opportunity as production of reducers, screws and related sub-components require high-precision automatic lathes, turret lathes, grinding machines and thread rolling machines. Daiwa initiates coverage of the stock with a buy rating and a target price of 77.00 Hong Kong dollars. Shares are 3.5% lower at HK$61.80. (ronnie.harui@wsj.com)
