Stocks in the U.S. Communications Services sector are the worst performing amid lasting uncertainty about the U.S.-Iran conflict and how it will impact economic growth and inflation.
Google is investing in independent movie studio A24 as part of a new artificial-intelligence research partnership between the two companies. The search giant is putting around $75 million into A24, which released the recent hits "Backrooms" and "Marty Supreme," according to people familiar with the matter. Though Alphabet unit Google is a major player in online entertainment through YouTube, the deal marks the first time it has taken a stake in a studio.
SpaceX said it launched its inaugural offering of senior unsecured notes, with proceeds earmarked to repay outstanding borrowings under its bridge loan facility. Terms of the offering, including its size, maturity and pricing, weren't disclosed.
Disney-owned broadcaster ABC launched an on-air campaign Monday urging viewers to weigh in against the Federal Communications Commission's early review of its broadcast licenses and a separate investigation of its daily talk show "The View."
