AST SpaceMobile (ASTS) said Tuesday that BlueBird satellites 11, 12 and 13 are targeted for launch aboard a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral in the first half of August.

The mission will deploy the satellites, which are equipped with about 2,400-square-foot commercial communications arrays, into low Earth orbit to expand the company's direct-to-smartphone broadband network, according to a statement.

AST SpaceMobile said the launch schedule remains subject to launch provider readiness, weather conditions and other factors beyond its control.
