ICON (ICLR) said Monday it has selected Microsoft (MSFT) as a preferred technology partner.

ICON said that the partnership includes an enterprise-wide deployment of Microsoft 365 Copilot along with cloud, data and AI infrastructure to scale Orbis, its agentic AI platform.

Under the partnership, Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services will connect and govern ICON's clinical, operational, and enterprise data, and Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Chat will be rolled out to every employee across the organisation, the company said.

Using Microsoft Azure, Microsoft AI Services, and Microsoft Foundry, ICON said it will further deploy agents embedded directly within clinical trial workflows.
