Constellation Energy Files Nuclear License Renewal Applications for Two New York Plants

Constellation Energy (CEG) filed applications with the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission to renew the operating licenses for its Ginna and Nine Mile Point Unit 1 nuclear reactors in New York through 2049, the company said Friday.

The company said it submitted the Ginna renewal application on June 17 and the Nine Mile Point Unit 1 application on March 25, with each seeking a 20-year license extension, subject to regulatory approval.

Constellation Energy shares were down 1.3% in Friday trading.
