UniQure (QURE) closed a public offering of almost 5.69 million common shares at $45.50 each for gross proceeds of about $259 million.

The offering included 741,758 shares issued upon the full exercise of an overallotment option by the underwriters, the company said Thursday in a statement.

UniQure plans to use the proceeds to advance AMT-130, develop other pipeline programs and support general corporate needs.
