PRF Technologies' (PRFX) PRF-110 demonstrated analgesic efficacy comparable to Zynrelef in a preclinical study evaluating post-operative pain treatment, the company said Thursday.

The study found that PRF-110 showed slower absorption and enhanced local tissue retention than Zynrelef, supporting prolonged drug exposure at the site of administration, PRF Technologies said.

The findings support the potential of PRF-110 as a long-acting, single-administration treatment for post-operative pain, the company said.

PRF Technologies said it plans to continue developing PRF-110 through additional studies.

Shares of the company were up 6.4% in Thursday premarket trading.
