Arcutis Biotherapeutics (ARQT) said Monday the US Food and Drug Administration cleared an expanded use of its Zoryve cream to treat plaque psoriasis in children as young as 2 years old.

The regulatory clearance extends the treatment option to younger patients from the previous age threshold of 6 years and older, the company said.

Health regulators based the decision on a 4-week evaluation study analyzing the medication in patients aged 2 to 5, Arcutis said.
