Barclays (BCS) has acquired a long-term leasehold interest in its global headquarters at One Churchill Place in London's Canary Wharf from CWG at a value of 750 million UK pounds ($992.6 million), the companies said Tuesday.
The deal secures Barclays' control over its 1-million-square-foot global headquarters beyond the current lease term, which runs to 2039, and provides greater certainty over long-term costs, the companies said.
The deal is expected to be broadly neutral to Barclays' earnings.
