Research Frontiers (REFR) and Klim said Tuesday they entered into a licensing and product development collaboration to bring SPD-SmartGlass technology to motorcycle helmets, goggles, visors, face shields and other rider products.

The technology can manage light, heat and glare dynamically and in real-time, the companies said, adding that it is being used in luxury automobiles, aircraft, marine vessels and architectural installations.

Shares of Research Frontiers rose more than 7% in Tuesday trading.
